Michael Rapino

These are the types of experiences that Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, latched onto when planning his career as a student in Ontario, Canada. Rapino became hyper-focused on creating a company dedicated to promoting and improving live experiences, including live music. He founded a concert promotion company in Canada in the late 1990s, and by 2005 he was the CEO of Live Nation, a spin-off of Clear Channel Communications’ entertainment division. When Live Nation merged with Ticketmaster in 2010 to become Live Nation Entertainment, Rapino was named CEO.

Today, Live Nation for Brands, Live Nation Entertainment’s Media and Sponsorships division, continues to tap into the magic of live events. Its unique platform helps brands build effective, authentic relationships with live event attendees and online consumers that best align with their business. The company has partnerships with over 1,000 brands, which it connects with 93 million annual onsite fans and 80 million monthly digital visitors. Rapino and the Live Nation Entertainment team believe that brands make the best connections with audiences when they’re engaged and present in the moment.

Michael Rapino is a native of Thunder Bay, Ontario. He attended Lakehead University and earned a bachelor of administration degree in 1989.
